MR. AYUSH DESAI
Manager, Operations
Mr. Ayush Desai joined Starship Vessel Management Pvt. Ltd. in 2021 and currently serves as the Manager – Operations. He acts as the single-point liaison between the company and the technical managers and vessel owners, ensuring smooth coordination for day-to-day operational requirements and crewing activities.
In his role he oversees end-to-end crew management, which includes:
- Planning and execution of crew changes in compliance with international regulations and DG Shipping guidelines.
- Maintaining effective communication with vessel owners and technical managers to align crewing strategies with operational needs.
- Leads and manages operations teams effectively, ensuring all processes are streamlined and executed efficiently to meet organizational goals.
His proactive approach and attention to detail have contributed significantly to maintaining crew readiness, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency across the fleet.
MS. SAVITA JUYAL
Manager, Recruitment
Ms. Savita Juyal serves Starship Vessel Management Pvt. Ltd. as the Manager – Recruitment. She is responsible for sourcing and recruiting quality seafarers, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and building strong relationships with seafarers to encourage long-term association with our organization. Her role includes:
- Identifying and onboarding competent officers and crew for various vessel types.
- Fostering trust and engagement with seafarers to promote retention and career growth within the company.
- Collaborating with operations teams to align recruitment with vessel needs.
- Handles the overall team of recruitment rank wise.
Ms. Juyal joined Starship Vessel Management Pvt. Ltd. in 2019 and has since played a pivotal role in strengthening our recruitment processes and enhancing seafarer satisfaction.
MR. SANDESH DESAI
SENIOR EXECUTIVE - DOCUMENTATION
Mr. Sandesh Desai joined the organization in 2016 as the Documentation Head. Previously worked with Starship Maritime Services for 10 years. He is responsible for overseeing all documentation related to seafarers, including handling Flag State documentation and managing applications with precision and compliance. His role is critical in ensuring that all statutory and regulatory requirements are met without delays.
- Compliance: Ensures adherence to DG Shipping regulations and international maritime standards for crew documentation.
- Process Optimization: Streamlines documentation processes to reduce turnaround time and improve efficiency.
- Coordination Role: Acts as a key liaison with the Flag State authorities for smooth documentation approvals.
- Digital Transformation: Introduced digital tools and systems for better record-keeping and faster application processing.
- Training & Guidance: Provides guidance to team members and seafarers on documentation requirements and updates.
- Risk Mitigation: Plays a vital role in minimizing operational risks by ensuring all crew documents are valid and up to date before deployment.
- Confidentiality & Accuracy: Maintains high standards of confidentiality and accuracy in handling sensitive personal and professional data.
MR. SACHIN DHAMALE
Travel Coordinator / Sr.Executive - Operations
Sachin joined Starship Vessel Management Pvt. Ltd. in 2016 and previously worked with Starship Maritime Services for 10 years. He brings with him extensive experience in managing ticketing, visa processing, and other travel formalities for crew members joining vessels. His primary responsibility is to ensure that seafarers embark and disembark smoothly, handling all logistical aspects with precision.
In addition to travel coordination, Sachin oversees compliance with DG Shipping guidelines and manages sign-on and sign-off formalities, ensuring that all updates are accurately reflected in the Seafarers’ Portal. His dedication and attention to detail play a vital role in delivering seamless crew movements and regulatory compliance.
