MR. PRASHANT PATIL

Mr. Prashant Patil is the Founder and Owner of Starship Vessel Management Pvt. Ltd., bringing with him strong leadership, industry insight, and a commitment to operational excellence in the maritime sector.
With extensive experience in vessel management and maritime operations, Mr. Patil has played a key role in establishing Starship Vessel Management as a reliable and professional organization focused on safety, compliance, and efficiency. His vision has been to build a company that delivers high-quality ship management services while maintaining the highest international maritime standards.

CAPT. SATPAL AGARWAL
Capt. Satpal Agarwal is a highly respected maritime professional and Master Mariner with over four decades of combined sea-going and shore-based experience. He has sailed for more than 22 years on a wide range of vessels including Oil and Chemical Tankers, OBO vessels, Bulk Carriers and Container ships, gaining extensive operational and command experience across global trade routes.
Academically, Capt. Agarwal holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.), Master Mariner (FG) certification, Extra Master and an MBA (PGDM), reflecting a strong blend of technical, operational, and management expertise. Since moving ashore in 2001, he has played a pivotal role in enhancing maritime training and safety standards in the marine Industry internationally.
He has served in senior leadership positions such as Ex-General Manager (Global Training) at Selandia Group, Head of Training – India at V. Ships India Pvt. Ltd., and Ex-Principal of a Global Maritime Training Centre(Formerly known as Known as Sir Derek Bibby Maritime Training Centre), where he was instrumental in developing structured training programs for officers and senior management staff. He has also led and mentored teams of Master Mariners, conducted vetting inspections on tankers, and actively supported compliance with international maritime regulations and best practices.
Capt. Agarwal has been a frequent speaker and facilitator at officers’ seminars and professional development programs held across India and abroad. Additionally, he is certified in PPA (Psychometric Analysis), enabling him to contribute to crew assessment, leadership evaluation, and human-factor-based safety initiatives.
In February 2021, he joined Starship Vessel Management Pvt. Ltd., where he continues to provide strategic direction, training leadership, and operational guidance. As Director, Capt. Satpal Agarwal brings deep industry insight, global exposure, and a strong commitment to excellence in maritime operations, safety, and seafarer development.
MR. PRADEEP BAING
Mr. Pradeep Baing joined Starship Vessel Management Pvt. Ltd. in April this year as Technical Manager, bringing with him over three decades of rich maritime engineering experience. He holds a Marine Engineering Apprenticeship from Mazagon Dock Ltd., Mumbai, and is a Class I Marine Engineer (Motor) certified by the Government of India with High Voltage Endorsement. He has also completed his HSC (Science) from Wilson College, Mumbai.
A seasoned Chief Engineer, Mr. Baing has more than 34 years of professional experience, including over 13 years of sea service as Chief Engineer on Product, Oil, and Chemical Tankers with reputed operators such as D’Amico Tankers and Ishima Pte. Ltd. His expertise covers UMS engine rooms, dry-docking, major repairs, vessel takeovers, statutory inspections, and third-party vetting for oil majors.
He also has extensive offshore and shore-based experience, having worked on AHT, DP1, and DP2 vessels, and served as General Manager (Engineering) at Bharati Shipyard, Dabhol. His background includes diesel generator operations, auxiliary machinery, fabrication supervision, and offshore jack-up rig installations.
At Starship Vessel Management, he is responsible for overseeing technical operations, maintenance planning, compliance, inspections, reliability engineering, and selection and evaluation of engine room personnel. His strong skills in troubleshooting, equipment monitoring, surveying, and decision-making contribute significantly to safe, efficient, and reliable vessel operations.
